Complex care, done safely

Advanced personal support, delivered with skill and dignity.

High Intensity Daily Personal Activities are specialised supports for NDIS participants whose personal care involves a higher level of risk or clinical complexity. Because these tasks demand specific skills and training, they are delivered by experienced workers who are assessed as competent and supervised in line with the NDIS High Intensity Skills Descriptors.

Funded under the Core Supports - Assistance with Daily Life category of your NDIS plan, our high intensity support is built around your health needs, your routine, and the people who already know you best, so you stay safe, comfortable, and in control.

How it works

High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (HIDPA) in SA

High intensity supports are personal care tasks that carry additional clinical risk and therefore require workers with specific, assessed skills. We deliver these supports safely in your home, matched to a documented care plan and supervised in line with the relevant clinical guidance.

Continuity matters even more with complex care. We work to keep the same trained team around you, so you and your family aren't constantly re-explaining your needs to someone new.

What to expect

  • Workers trained against the NDIS High Intensity Support Skills Descriptors
  • Care plans developed with you, your family and relevant health professionals
  • Clinical oversight and clear, documented procedures
  • Coordination with your support coordinator and treating team

How it's funded

High intensity support is funded from your Core Supports budget under "Assistance with Daily Life", at the high intensity hourly rate where your plan and needs warrant it. As a registered provider (#4050170458) we support participants across all plan management types.

High intensity support - FAQs

What are High Intensity Daily Personal Activities?

High intensity supports are personal care tasks that require additional skills and training because of complex health needs - for example complex bowel care, enteral (PEG) feeding, ventilation support, complex wound care, severe dysphagia or subcutaneous injections.

Are your support workers trained for complex care?

Yes. High intensity supports are delivered by workers trained against the NDIS High Intensity Support Skills Descriptors and supervised in line with the relevant clinical guidance and your care plan.

How is high intensity support funded under the NDIS?

It is funded from your Core Supports budget under "Assistance with Daily Life", at the high intensity hourly rate where your plan and needs warrant it. We can help you understand what your plan allows.

Can high intensity support be combined with other services?

Yes. Many participants combine high intensity personal care with community access, transport or respite so their whole week is supported by a consistent, familiar team.
